Okdo PDF to Doc Converter is a document conversion tool that transforms PDF files into editable .doc documents that you will be able to open with Microsoft Word. It can convert files in batches and offers several conversion modes.
The program has a simple interface that divides the conversion process into a few steps: you only need to import a PDF file, either by browsing your PC or dragging and dropping files into the program window, set a destination folder, and click a button to start the conversion.
Beside the default conversion mode, which will convert a PDF into a .doc file keeping the original content, there is a mode called 'Convert by image' that will convert PDF pages into .doc files with embedded images, that is, without editable text. There is another option allowing you to extract only the text of a PDF, omitting graphics, images, and other extra content.
Most programs of the kind claim to preserve the original file layout intact, maintaining the order of images, graphics, or tables of the source file. But according to my experience, most of them only distort documents generating messy files that you will most likely end up rearranging yourself. To test how the program deals with this issue, I used two PDFs combining text and images, and surprisingly the result was satisfying. Even though the trial version limits the conversion to 3 pages, these looked just like the original file, with images and other contents in the right place.
